NaHaiWriMo 2012 Wrap Up

Well, I missed the last couple of days due to illness, but what a month! It was fun and a heckuva challenge to boot. Some of the little poems I wrote over the past month will be revised and tweaked and some will just fade away, but all of them in their own wee way brought me much joy. The community of haiku writers who participated were so supportive of each other and a big thank you to Michael Dylan Welch, the originator and haiku cat-herder of the NaHaiWriMo! Apparently he is collecting many of the haiku written during February for a new book -- don't know if I'll submit (not sure mine are of publishing quality).

rabbit moon
half in the hat

The above was what was posted on the NaHaiWriMo page, but after receiving some fantastic advice from far better haiku poets than me, it has been revised to:

half in the hat
half lit to the bone --
rabbit moon
